Point of Surrender Page 14
“Yeah,” I whispered and shuffled closer. “I want to taste you.”
His fingers tightened. “Jesus, Meg.”
I smiled up at him. The shocked look on his face mixed with desire had my heart racing.
I moved my hands and tugged down his jeans, taking his underwear with them. I paused only when he lifted his hips, and I finished pushing them down to his thighs. I wiggled his jeans to his ankles, but I didn’t look.
My eyes were fixed on his erection standing proudly. Powerfully.
I wrapped my hand around the base and his abs tightened from the slow, teasing movement. I wanted to draw this out, make him need it…make him crazy. That was how I suddenly felt, and even though I was on my knees, I had all the power in this.
It was heady.
I leaned forward and licked my lips.
“You’re killing me,” he groaned. His hands fell to the couch and tightened into fists. I licked my lips again, wetting them before I leaned over his shaft and gently swirled my tongue around his tip. His hands flexed and balled into fists again. His abs rippled and his thighs tightened next to me.
He let out a guttural groan when I tasted his tip with teasing licks, and I dropped my hand to his balls and began massaging as I slowly took him into my mouth. My lips stretched wide to accommodate his size.
When his hands came to my hair and he brushed it back, I raised my eyes off what I was doing to him so I could see what I was doing to him.
His pupils dilated.
His jaw tight.
Every muscle in his body locked.
“God, you’re sexy,” he moaned and rocked his hips into me. My hand went to his shaft and wrapped around him, tugging at the same time my other hand continued rolling his balls. “So fucking good at this, too.”
I would have smiled if I wasn’t full of him, but my own arousal, my own pulsing need at my thighs, had me fighting for my own control. I felt like I could come just getting him off as he began rocking his hips faster. My tongue swirled and tasted, my mouth moved up and down…slow and then fast…teasing him and taking him to the edge before pulling back.
I licked and swallowed his precum when it hit my tongue. Salty and thick and damn…he tasted amazing.
“Meg,” he began warning. His balls tightened in my hand and I pulled off his dick to lick them, sucking them into my mouth and rolling them with my tongue. I dragged my tongue along the line between his balls and back behind them…up again…and then down.
His hips arched off the couch.
“Don’t fuckin’ tease me,” he growled, and I looked up to see that he was starting to lose control.
“I like it,” I said, pulling my mouth off him and then licking more precum off the head of his cock. “And I like the way you taste…the way you feel.”
My vision blurred. Partly watery…partly challenging him.
“Get yourself off,” he groaned when I swallowed his dick into my mouth again. I couldn’t take him all the way, but I did my best. His command had moisture soaking my panties, but I obeyed.
Mostly because I was so close.
Also because I wanted to drive him insane.
“Meg,” he warned.
I quickly pushed my shorts down as far as they could go and shivered when the cool air hit my swollen center. My fingers dropped from his balls and I began rubbing my clit as my other hand worked his shaft. I sucked the head of his cock into my mouth.
In…out…around…slow…fast…
My body began shaking and Finn growled something unintelligible. I didn’t stop. I continued working both of us until water fell from the edges of my eyes and Finn’s hands gripped my cheeks, pushing and pulling my head down as he rocked his hips into me.
He fucked my mouth while I fucked my own fingers and it took only moments before he shouted another warning that he was going to come. I moaned around his cock and pinched my clit. His cum hit my throat at the same time my ecstatic and muffled moans vibrated around the room.
My body shook with pleasure, and I rubbed out the rest of my orgasm while Finn held me to him, spurting himself into my mouth.
I swallowed every drop and once he was done, and my own orgasm had rolled through me, I licked off his shaft and then sat back down on my heels.
My heart pounded in my chest and my fingers were shaking. I also couldn’t stop watching the rise and fall of Finn’s chest. His ragged breathing seemed to match mine.
“Holy fuck,” he exhaled and draped an arm over his eyes. “Did you take lessons on that or some shit?”
I laughed softly and began pulling up my shorts. Somehow the joke had erased any awkwardness there could have been—like the fact we were still mostly dressed, or that my son was sleeping in another room, or that until today he’d acted like he wanted nothing more to do with me.
His cell phone ringing in his jeans pocket at my knees distracted me from his heavy-laden eyes when his arm fell away.
I reached into his pocket and handed him the phone.
“Yeah?” he clipped, his voice still raspy.
I couldn’t hide my smile when he looked at me and then scowled.
“Just a minute.” He leaned forward, and I bit my lip when his dick, still half-hard, fell between his legs.
“Jesus, woman,” he said. “Liv’s on the phone for you. But don’t lose that thought…whatever wicked thing you’re thinking. I still want more.”
I had no response, so I took the phone and turned so Finn could get dressed. “Hello?”
“Meg? Hey, Daemon wanted me to call and talk to you…see how you’re doing.”
“I’m good,” I said and my eyes caught Finn’s reflection through the windows. He was walking away from me toward the kitchen and all I saw was the expanse of his large and muscled back moving. Drool pooled in my mouth before I remembered what I was doing. “I’m fine, really.”
“Okay.” She sighed. “That’s good. Daemon had me return that call of yours to the fire investigator.”
“Oh,” I muttered and dropped to the couch. With a fresh glass of wine in front of me—thanks to Finn, who set it on the table with a nod—I took a sip. “What’d he say?”
“Arson…well, bomb mostly.” She spoke hesitantly, as if she was afraid of upsetting me.
Maybe it was the wine or the orgasm or the powerful emotion I was still feeling knowing I’d just rocked Finn’s world, but somehow…I wasn’t affected by this.
“You don’t seem upset.”
I ran a hand through my hair and sighed. “I guess I’m not all that surprised, really.”
“Well, that’s good, I guess…but I just wanted you to know they’re expecting you to call back. I can do it for you again, but they need more information that I didn’t have. I’m sure the guy I talked to thought I was a moron. Oh…and your boss called. He’s sort of freaking out.”
“Shit.” I had completely forgotten about my job. Amazing what being on the run from a drug and sex slavery overlord could do to you. “I need to call him.” After a moment, I cleared my head, refocusing on what needed to be done. “What does the investigator need?”
“Mostly he just reminded me to get the insurance stuff moving, but that won’t happen until they finish investigating the fire and find who caused it.”
I snorted. “Right. Because Moscoe’s been easy to find.”
A soft laugh fell through the phone and then she hesitated. “Yeah…about that. Daemon’s here looking all pissy at me. He needs to talk to Finn.”
My eyes shot to Finn and my stomach rolled.
“All right,” I told Liv. “I’ll put him on.”
“It was good talking to you, Meg. And I know we barely know each other but don’t worry about a thing, okay? These guys will figure everything out.”
“Yeah…” My voice trailed off and Finn reached for his phone, snapping impatient fingers. “Bye, Liv.”
I handed the phone to Finn, picked up my glass of wine, and headed toward the kitchen.
I suddenly
felt the need for space. I couldn’t imagine how worried Todd must have been to learn about my house. Not only that, but I was due back at work on Monday. I hadn’t even considered quitting yet, but it needed to be done. Like yesterday.
My eyes roamed the darkness outside, and I caught bats flying through the trees in the darkness, just whispers of black against the moonlit sky.
It almost seemed a pinch creepy with the bats and owls making their sounds. Like something out of a horror film right before the slasher showed up.
Cold ice trickled down my spine and I shook it off. Turning around, I took in Finn’s tense posture and his pinched expression as he listened to Daemon.
His eyes immediately met mine and narrowed.
Shit. The instant shift in the energy from the waves of anger rolling off Finn hit me in the chest and everything hurt.
My skin felt tight, itchy, too small for my bones, and my wine glass trembled in my hand as I pulled it to my lips.
Then Finn growled, “You’re fuckin’ kidding me.”
And all the oxygen in the air was sucked straight out of the room.
16 Finn
Deadlock.
It was fucking impossible.
I gripped my phone tighter and shot a look toward Meg.
God…her lips were still swollen from being around my cock. I wanted them back on me immediately. Seeing her get herself off while attending to me at the same time had to be one of the sexiest things I had ever seen. When her moans vibrated against my dick, I was done for.
Now I was dealing with this shit when all I wanted to do was sink into her hot pussy and stay there for hours.
“He’s gone, man. No sign of him.”
I growled at Daemon. It sounded like I’d become an animal as the sound was ripped from my throat.
“And Ryker’s frothing at the mouth, pissed we can’t find him. I’m sending Johnny out for backup so he can help you keep an eye out for Moscoe.”
At least I wasn’t the only one who turned into an animal over Meg, but hell no.
I didn’t want more company.
“Fuck that.”
“He’s leaving first thing tomorrow. I don’t want shit to happen to any of you, and the extra eyes would be good to have—especially with Brayden.”
Damn it. He had a point. An odd creepy-crawly feeling slithered inside me at the thought of another guy—even if it was just Johnny, some twenty-something-year-old with shit for brains—keeping an eye on what was mine.
Mine?
Fuck. I ran a hand through my hair and huffed into the phone.
“They’re safe with me, D.”
A lie, probably. I hadn’t kept my own damn kid safe, but my pride wouldn’t allow me to back down now. Not when I’d had Meg. Not when I wanted her again.
Daemon laughed. “Yeah, I’m sure you got her good and covered.”
Prick. “That was the plan until the phone rang.”
I looked at Meg and wiggled my eyebrows. She smiled slowly until it spread across her cheeks. It was the first smile I’d gotten since she was down on her knees, and thank God she could still find something to smile about when her life was falling apart.
She was so damn strong.
Daemon shouted to someone and he covered his earpiece. “I’ll let you get back to it then, Finn.”
“Asshole,” I said, but I was smiling now, too. Meg’s smile worked wonders on my anger and my guilt. I didn’t know how and I didn’t want to think about it. I just knew I liked the way I felt when her happy eyes hit mine.
I clicked the phone shut and tossed it on the couch. Then I didn’t waste time before I stalked into the kitchen and caged Meg in on the counter, my arms on either side.
“You okay?”
Her eyes fell to my torso. I sucked in a breath as she ran one finger up the center of my abs to my chest and traced a collarbone. “Yeah, I’m good.”
I reached out, pressed a finger to the bottom of her chin, and lifted until her eyes met mine. “My eyes are up here.”
Her lips twisted and her eyes danced with amusement. I had never been around someone who always seemed so happy. It should have freaked me out.
Then her eyes took on a wicked gleam and I quit caring. “Maybe…but I like the view down there better.”
And just like that, my dick was throbbing, lengthening inside my zipped-up denim. Now wasn’t the time, though, and I silently willed the big guy to stay put.
“You wanna know what Daemon had to say?”
She shrugged and the gleam in her eyes disappeared. I almost wanted to kick my own ass for ruining her good mood, but she needed to know.
“Not really—it’s not like it’s going to change anything.”
My head fell and dropped to her forehead. I inhaled her sweet scent—sex mixed with raspberries. I wanted to bottle it up. There were a lot of things I’d done in my life—fighting, fucking, murder…words like ‘sweet’ and ‘kind’ shouldn’t have been in my vocabulary. Meg was unlike any woman I’d ever met, ever spent time around.
Something about just being close to her, smelling her, and having her skin brush teasing touches against mine left me feeling unraveled.
I wanted more of it.
I wanted to finally be out of that thick cloak of regret I wore all the damn time.
My hand moved from her chin to the back of her neck and I squeezed.
“Meg,” I groaned. My voice jumped over her name. She had no clue what she did to me, what nightmares she kept away, but God…if I could sleep all night forever without the memories of Piper’s screams, her blood, her death, and Jesse…I’d cuff Meg next to me and never let her go. “What the hell are you doing to me?”
Her hands met my wrists and then she glided them up my arms. My skin shivered under her delicate touch, and I opened my eyes to see her smiling up at me.
“What’d Daemon say?” she finally asked and then sucked her bottom lip into her mouth.
I dropped my hand from her skin, pressed my thumb to her lip, and pulled it from between her teeth. I wanted my teeth on her. My lips on her. Everywhere.
“Moscoe’s off grid. They haven’t heard shit, even from our charter in the South and some other clubs we’re close with. No one knows where he is.”
“Except that he’s close enough to know what state I’m in.”
“Yeah, ’cept that.”
Her shoulders rose and fell with a heavy breath, but her fingers kept tickling my skin, warming it and chilling it at the same time.
So fucking strange.
“I need to call my boss in New Orleans,” she said quietly. “Liv told me he called and he’s worried about me. And I haven’t called to tell him I won’t be coming back.”
“You can do that tomorrow if you don’t talk long. I’ve got a burner phone, but it’s not completely untraceable if his lines are tapped.”
Her eyes flew open and her chin jerked. “You think he’d do that?”
“Track the one guy with permanent ties to you back home?” I brushed her cheek with my thumb and her lips parted. God, she was gorgeous. “Yeah, darlin’, I think he’d do that.”
“Do you think he’d hurt him to get to me? I mean, Todd’s a nice guy and his wife is really cool. I’d hate for something to happen.”
I shouldn’t have laughed. But the longer she talked, the more panicked and high-pitched her voice became, until she squeaked liked a mouse caught in a trap.
“Meg.” I brushed my fingers through her hair, trying to calm her.
She stayed silent but glared at me until she calmed down.
“We’ll take care of it, it’s just taking us longer than we thought.”
And that fucker would pay. I wanted to make Moscoe my personal target.
“I know,” Meg finally said on a deep breath. “I trust you.”
Damn. I brushed my thumb across her lips again. God, I couldn’t stop touching her. I just wanted to be close to her, my hands on her, my lips on her. Even standing in the kitchen with just
our hands on each other had my dick hard as fuck, dying to get out.
I met her eyes at her admission. Her lips parted when my expression tightened.
“You probably shouldn’t.”
The only person who had ever trusted me ended up dead. My fault, too. I hadn’t saved Piper, but I would make sure I saved Meg.
“Too late,” she breathed, and I felt her lean in. Her chest brushed against mine, then her hands went to my neck and tangled together. Next thing I knew, her lips were brushing against mine, her knee lifted and propped on the side of my hip as her leg wrapped around me, and then her tongue slowly dragged along my lips…
And I caved.
Like a fucking avalanche.
* * *
Sweat dripped down my back as I pushed my way out of the warehouse.
Shouts and taunts pounded in my ears. Hands reached for me and I pushed through the throng of madness, intent on my destination.
Piper.
Her text had said she was outside. It had come in during my last fight.
While I was pounding on some piece of worthless shit, his blood flying across my cheeks and all over the cement floor, Piper had needed me.
I slammed through the metal door, pushing it hard enough that it flew open and banged against the cement wall.
Our fights were held in the hellish areas of Sydney. Scum walked the streets, and even though the night was warm, I caught the whiff of trash burning in metal bins, providing minimal comfort to the rest of the lost and forsaken.
I wished I was huddled over one of those fires, hands brushing together to stay warm.
It was a better place to be than where I was—in the belly of sin and evil, stuck until I turned eighteen and was released from the system.
Six more months.
I could make it. Then we’d be free. We’d be the forsaken, hovering over trash, and feeling safer than we had in years.
A quiet gasp caught my attention and I moved through the alley, stealthy like I stalked my prey in the makeshift ring inside.
Another gasp, a groan of pain, and Piper came into view.
“What the hell?” I immediately asked when I took in her crumpled frame.
